Description

Stauntonia genus. There are about 16 species of evergreen or semi-evergreen climbers. They have digitate leaves with 3 to 7 long, mid-green leaflets. In the spring they bear simple, sweet scented bell-shaped flowers in loose clusters. You can grow in any well drained soil with sun or semi-shade.

Woodlands from Burma to Taiwan and Japan.

Cultivation

You should plant in cool, moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil with light shade. Propagation is from layering or seeds To keep under control, prune in early spring.
