Grown for their flowers.
They are frost-tender plants, min 16-18C. They can be grown outdoors, but only in warm temperatures; they will need protection of a conservatory or greenhouse in cooler areas. Grow them in humus-rich, well-drained soil, with partial-shade. Provide stems with support. You should water freely when in full growth, and less in other times. If necessary, thin out crowded stems in spring.
Propagation is by seeds in the spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
