You might not recognise the name, but you will certainly know what Marchantia (common name Liverwort) are - they form flat plates of shiny green growth on the…
Thujopsis genus (Broad-leaved arborvitae). This genus has a single species of conifer, which produces round woody fruits called cones with winged seeds and large needle-like leaves.
Evergreens, Conifers or Trees
They are tolerant of the cold and will thrive in moist, well-drained, acidic or alkaline soil with an open, sunny position. If the conifer produces more than one leader, to maintain the general conical habit remove all but one leader. To restrict the height of the plant, the leader can be cut back.
You can propagate from seed sown in autumn or spring (but forms selected for leaf colour do not come true). Evergreen current growth cuttings in autumn to spring. Deciduous softwood cuttings in summer.
Honey fungus may be a problem; young plants are more susceptible.
