Thymus genus (Thyme). This genus has about 350 evergreen species of herbaceous perennials and subshrubs which produce aromatic leaves. The flowers are often tubular and will vary from white through to pink-mauve. It is useful for growing on banks and in rock gardens.

They are fully to half hardy and you should plant them out from early autumn through to early spring in a sunny site with moist, well-drained soil.
You can propagate by softwood or semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
