Trachelospermum genus. There are about 20 evergreen species containing self-clinging, woody-stemmed, twining climbers. They produce sweet-scented, jasmine-like flowers which bloom in late summer. They are frost hardy and will grow in any well drained soil, in the sun or semi-shade. Propagation is by seeds in the spring, or by layering in the summer or by semi-ripe cuttings in late summer or autumn.
