Trachymene genus. There are about 12 species of annuals and perennials. In early summer, 5cm wide, white or dusky blue flowers are borne in umbels. The leaves are light green to grey-green and are finely divided, narrow and linear or lobed. They are half hardy and will grow in a sunny, sheltered position in fertile, well drained soil. Propagation is by seeds sown under glass in the early spring.
