Cultivation

They are mostly fully hardy and will require a sunny position with well drained soil and will appreciate a summer baking. In cool wet areas bulbs may be lifted, when the leaves have died down, and stored in a dry place for replanting in autumn. They will need cold winters. You should plant in the late autumn in a sunny position.

Propagate from offsets or seed in autumn.
