Description

Vaccinium macrocarpon (American cranberry). This is an evergreen, with a prostrate habit and will form mats of interlacing wiry stems with alternate leaves. Pink, nodding flowers are produced in early summer to late summer, and are followed by relatively large, tart red fruit.
