Description

Wisteria × formosa. This species is a twining climber with pinnate leaves consisting of 9-15, elliptic-ovate leaflets. The flowers are borne in late spring and early summer, with pea-like, fragrant, purple-blue flowers with white-yellow markings borne in pendent racemes, which are followed by bean-like velvety green seed pods.
