Description

Wisteria sinensis (Chinese wisteria). This species is a deciduous woody vine, which can grow to 10m, producing long panicles of extremely fragrant blue-purple blooms in mid spring. The leaves are pinnate and composed of 7 to 13 leaflets. It can be trained over stonework or fencing. You should soak the seed in warm water for 24 hours before sowing.
