Xanthorrhoea genus (Black boy). This genus consists of a small evergreen, which is grass-like with a thick, palm-like trunk, which produces arching, grass-like leaves, about 1m long. The flowers are long, spear-like and are borne in spikes.
Grown mainly as foliage plants.
It is frost tender, min 10C, and will grow in full sun with well drained soil.
You can propagate from seeds basal offsets in autumn or spring.
