Xanthosoma genus (Yautia). There are about 50 or so species of perennials which produce ornamental foliage with thick spreading stems and long stemmed, heart to arrowhead-shaped, arum, lily-like leaves. The flowers are simple green spathes which have yellow or white spikes.

Grown mainly for their attractive foliage. Many species are cultivated in the tropics for their edible, starchy tubers.
They will require rich moist soil, in humid conditions with a warm climate (min 15C). They are grown in partial shade, in rich moist soil.
You can propagate from seeds, stem cuttings or by division of tubers in spring or summer.
