Description

Crataegus pinnatifida var. major ‘Big Golden Star’ (Big Golden Star Hawthorn). The main feature of this tree is its large glossy edible red haws which are almost the size of crab apples which makes this the best fruiting Hawthorn. Almost thorn-free, the foliage is dark green with large leaves which turn shades of crimson and red in autumn. The flowers are white and appear in May.
