Description

Bergenia ‘Silver Light’ (Elephant's ear). This variety also goes under the name of B. 'Silberlicht'. An evergreen, clump-forming perennial producing flat, oval mid-green leaves with toothed margins. Clustered, white flowers, sometimes suffused with pink, grow on erect stems in spring.

Cultivation

They are fully to frost hardy and will tolerate sun or shade in any well drained soil, but the leaf colour is best on poor soil and in full sun.

Dry brown rot, slugs, snails and caterpillars. Vine weevil and leaf spot may be a problem.
