Description

Acer platanoides ‘Cucullatum’ (Norway maple). A vigorous, deciduous and spreading tree which produces large, broad, sharply lobed, bright green leaves which turn yellow-orange in autumn. Clusters of yellow flowers are borne in the mid-spring before the leaves appear.

Cultivation

Leaf eating caterpillars or aphids sometimes infest plants. Also prone to scale insects, tar spot, Verticillium wilt, leaf scorch and honey fungus.
