Description

Acidanthera bicolor var. murielae (Peacock flower). Also known as 'Gladiolus callianthus'. This species has flowering stems growing up to 1m tall. In autumn, sweetly scented white flowers are borne few to a stem, often with a dull crimson blotch in the throat. They grow 5-8cm wide with elegantly pointed, spreading petals and a tube of about 15cm long. Leaves are mid-green and strap-like.
