Carpenteria genus. This genus consists of one species of evergreen, summer-flowering shrub, which is cultivated for its flowers and foliage.

They are frost hardy and will grow well against a south or west facing wall. They will prefer full sun and a fairly moist but well drained soil.
You can propagate by greenwood cuttings in the summer or by seeds in the autumn.
