Carya genus (Hickory). These are deciduous trees, there are about 20 species, The leaves are large and pinnate they will turn yellow-orange in the autumn. It will produce insignificant flowers in the spring.

Grown for their stately habit, divided leaves, autumn colour and in some cases, edible nuts.
They are fully hardy and will require sun or semi-shade with deep fertile soil. You should plant the young seedlings in a permanent position during their first year as the older plants resent transplanting.
You can propagate the seeds in the autumn.
Prone to crown gall, powdery mildew and leaf spot.
