Description

Catalpa bignonioides (Indian bean tree). This is a spreading upright rounded tree, The heart-shaped leaves are large, bold and mid green in colour. The flowers are white and spotted yellow-brown, trumpet-shaped and fragrant; they will bloom in late spring to early summer. They are followed by long, thin 13-18inch thin bean pods.
