Description

Aconitum variegatum (Monkshood). Also known as Aconitum gracile. This wild flowering perennial species will produce panicles of hooded blue -violet flowers with cream throats, over mid green incised leaves.

Cultivation

They are fully hardy and will prefer sun, but will tolerate some shade and this may enhance the flower colour. Best grown in moist fertile soil in cool conditions. Tall aconites may need staking.
