Ceiba genus (Cotton tree). These are evergreen, semi-evergreen or deciduous trees. There are about 4 species. The leaves are large and palmate. The flowers are showy and are 5 petalled.

They are frost tender, min 15C, and will requires full sun or light shade and fertile, moisture retentive but well drained soil. Pruning is tolerated if necessary.
You can propagate by seeds in the spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
