    Description

    Cephalotus genus (Australian pitcher plant). This is a genus of only one species. It is a carnivorous perennial herb. The leaves are glossy green often with red margin. They are jug-like trapping leaves, forming a pitcher, sparsely hairy. The flowers are in terminal panicles, green-white and the petals are absent. The 12 stamens are inserted around a glandular disc.
