Description

Ceratostigma plumbaginoides (Leadwort). This is an upright spreading clumped deciduous perennial which is native to Western China. The leaves are dark green and oval-shaped; they will turn a bronze-red in the autumn before dying back in the winter. In late summer and into the autumn it will bear clusters of small, single deep blue flowers. It will make excellent ground cover in any sunny areas.
