Description

Adiantum raddianum (Delta maidenhair fern). Formerly known as Adiantum cuneatum, this species has arching, finely dissected fronds of pale green, triangular segments held on purple-black stems.

Characteristics

Perennial, Evergreen, Rhizome, Fern

Origin

S. America, West Indies.

Named after the Italian botanist Giuseppe Raddi (1770-1829).

Interest and use

Can be used in a terraria. Often used as houseplants in temperate zones. Works well as a bathroom plant as it appreciates humidity.
