Description

Cimicifuga racemosa (Black cohosh). This is a vigorous perennial herb from woodlands of eastern and central North America. It will bear large medium green oblong leaves which will spring from a root rhizome. It can grow as high as 2.5m. The flowers are produced in raceme of long spires of white-green flowers which will rise between the foliage. It has a rather unpleasant smell when bruised.
