Description

Cissus genus (Kangaroo vine). There are about 350 species of evergreen, woody-stemmed climbers, The flowers are yellow-greenish and will bloom in the summer.

Interest and use

Grown for their attractive foliage. Very attractive to bees.

Cultivation

Needs tying to supports. Thin out crowded stems in spring. They are half hardy to frost tender, min 7-18C. Make sure you provide them with fertile well drained soil with semi-shade in the summer. You will need to water regularly, and less in the cold weather.

Propagation

You can propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
