Description

Convolvulus sabatius. A clumped trailing perennial native to Spain, Italy and Northern Africa. Bears profuse purple-blue flowers from spring to autumn. Has twining slender stems and small, oblong to ovate green leaves. Grows to a height of approximately 30cm and spreads vigorously.

Cultivation

Dead-head to prolong flowering.

Propagation

Propagate by seed sown outdoors in mid spring for hardy plants or under glass in spring for tender plants, perennials and sub-shrubs by softwood cuttings in late spring or summer. The annuals should be sown direct and you will need to soak your seeds for 24 hours prior to sowing them.
