Coriandrum genus (Coriander). Only 2 species make up this western Mediterranean genus of annuals in the carrot family. One of them is renowned as a flavouring herb; now most widely employed in the cuisine's of Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The plants have a fleshy taproot and much-divided leaves, the leaflets becoming much finer close beneath the umbels of numerous small white flowers.
Propagate from seed in early spring.
Susceptible to fungal wilt.
