Description

Coronopus squamatus (Swinecress). This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe. STEM: Low-growing, branched, main stem short. ROOT: Slender tap-root. HAIRS: Absent STIPULES: Absent LEAF-STALK: Long below, short above. BRACTS: Absent FLOWER STALK: 0.15-0.3cm. SEPALS: 4, shorter than petals. PETALS: 4 or 0, 0.1-0.15 cm, equal, oblong, base stalk-like. STAMENS: 6 STIGMA: 1 OVARY: 1, 2-celled SEEDS: 2, not released.
