Description

Costus speciosus (Crape ginger). This is a tall-growing species, The leaves are mid green and elliptic they will run in a spiral up the slender, also twisted cane-like stems. It can reach about 3m in height. The showy flowerheads have tightly overlapping bracts in green tinged with red and white. Sometimes pinkish flowers with yellow centres will bloom.
