Description

Crassula ovata ‘Blue Bird’. Often confused with Portulacaria 'afra' also known as ‘jade plant’, but easily distinguished by its much smaller leaves, which are not in opposite pairs. It is a fast-growing South African shrubby, succulent species. Stems are thick shiny and brownish whilst the leaves are broadly wedge-shaped and may be edged with red. In autumn and winter small, white to pale pink, star-shaped flowers appear. ‘Hobbit’ is a dwarf cultivar.
