Description

Crataegus submollis. These are deciduous, or more rarely semi-evergreen spiny often spreading trees and shrubs. The leaves are toothed and lobed. The flowers are produced in cluster of pink or white rounded umbels in summer they are followed by small apple-like fruit.

They have clustered, 5 petalled, occasionally double flowers in spring-summer, ornamental fruits and in some cases autumn colour. Suitable for coastal conditions.
