Description

Crocus tommasinianus. A stalked perennial clump from the northern Balkan region. This dainty species is no more than about 15cm tall. Has pale purple, sometimes white-throated flowers with a very slender white tube, appearing in late winter. One of the more easily grown species, it does well in a rockery, or naturalized under deciduous trees. ‘Ruby Giant’ has dark reddish purple flowers.
