Cybistax genus. These are deciduous trees, grown for their spring flowers and for shade. They are frost tender, min 16-18C and will need full light with fertile, moisture-retentive but well drained soil. The young plants may be pruned to shape when leafless, otherwise pruning is not required. You can propagate by seeds or air-layering in the spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
