Daboecia genus (St Dabeoc's heath). This genus consists of low and spreading species, with two evergreen species. The flowers are white-purple and cup-shaped and the leaves are dark green and lance-shaped to elliptical.
Grown for their flowers and foliage (the latter all year round). Ground cover.
After flowering each year the plants can be lightly pruned to keep a bushy and compact habit.
Seed in spring for species or for cultivators by softwood cuttings, division or layering in summer.
