Deinanthe genus. These are slow growing perennials with creeping, underground rootstocks from Japan and central China. The flowers will grow in panicles; the individual flowers are white blue or purple. They are fully hardy and will need a shaded moist soil. You can propagate by division in the spring or by seed when fresh.
