Description

Diapensia genus. This species is a low tufted spreading evergreen sub-shrub from the Himalayas and West China. It will produce oblong to linear leaves and tubular flowers. They are fully hardy and will need partial shade with peaty, sandy, acidic soil. It is very difficult to grow in hot, dry climates at low altitudes. You can propagate by seeds in the spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
