Distictis genus. This genus consists of about 9 species of evergreen, woody-stemmed, tendril-climbers they are only suitable for frost-free climates. The flowers are tubular or trumpet-shaped and will bloom in the spring through to the summer.

Grown for their colourful, trumpet-shaped flowers.
They are frost tender, min 5-7C. Grow them in well drained soil, with full light. You will need to water freely in the summer and less at other times. Support for stems is necessary. Thin out congested growth in spring.
Propagation is by softwood cuttings in early summer or by semi-ripe cuttings in late summer.
