Drimys genus. This genus consists of about 30 species of evergreen trees and shrubs, they will produce terminal clusters of small, star-shaped flowers that will produce aromatic leaves.

Grown for their foliage and star-shaped flowers.
They are fully hardy but in cold areas they will grow against a south or west facing wall. They will need a sunny position or semi-shade with fertile, moist but well drained soil. Cut out dead or damaged wood in spring.
Propagation is by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer or by seeds in the autumn.
