Duchesnea genus. There are 6 species of perennial, stoloniferous plants. The leaves are divided into 3 to 5 leaflets. They will spread vegetatively with long fine stolons that produce more rosettes. It has yellow flowers and red fruits that are dry and inedible.

They are fully hardy and will grow in well drained soil with sun or partial shade.
You can propagate by division in the spring, or by rooting the plantlets formed at the ends of the runners in the summer or by seeds in the autumn.
