Description

Eranthemum pulchellum (Blue sage). This is a colourful evergreen shrub to 1.3m from tropical India. Its upright stems bear toothed, deep green, veined leaves to 18cm long. The spiked flowers are pale blue and appear in mid winter. Each flower has a slender tube with widely flared lobes. Has been naturalized in many other frost-free countries.
