Eria genus (Orchid). These are evergreen epiphytic orchids, In the wild will grow on tree branches or rocks. These perennials consist of 3 outer sepals and 3 inner petals, the lowest of which is usually enlarged. The linear to elliptic leaves are dark green.

Grown for their beautiful and unusual flowers.
In temperate climates, they need to be grown in greenhouses. Can be grown in pots but also on slabs of bark. Weak foliar feeds can be added to the sprays.
Older leafless pseudobulbs which can be removed for replanting, or from new growth which may appear from the bottom of the plant.
Susceptible to red spider mites, aphids and mealy bugs.
