Description

Erica cinerea ‘Snow Cream’ (Bell flower heather). A compact, low-spreading semi-evergreen shrub, is one of the prettiest of all the heaths native throughout western Europe including the British Isles. Produces profuse, small, crowded, reddish purple and pink bell-shaped flowers from early summer to early autumn. The stiff ends of the twisted branches ascend to 30-45 cm high. There are many named cultivars, varying chiefly in flower colour from white to the richest rose purple; some also have golden or coppery foliage. ‘Kerry Cherry’ and ‘Crimson King’ are attractive cultivars. This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe.
