Description

Escallonia ‘Donard's Radiance’ (Escallonia). This variety has dark green leaves which grow up to 4cm long. Chalice-shaped, rich pink flowers are produced in early and mid-summer.

Grown for their profuse, 5 petalled flowers and glossy foliage, which is very attractive to bees. Suitable for coastal conditions.

Cultivation

They are frost hardy, but in cold areas protect from strong winds and grow against a south or west facing wall. They will requires full sun and fertile, well drained soil. Trim hedges and wall-trained plants after flowering

Propagation

You can propagate by softwood or semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
