Euonymus genus (Spindle tree). This genus has about 175 species which will consists of both deciduous and evergreen trees, shrubs and creepers. They all have simple leaves in opposite pairs, usually with toothed margins. The flowers are greenish or yellowish in small groups along the lower parts of the current year’s growth.

Grown for their foliage, autumn colour and fruits also used for flower arranging. Suitable for coastal conditions.
They are fully to frost hardy and will need sun or semi-shade in any well drained soil. If grown in full sun, soil for evergreen species should not be very dry.
Propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in summer or by seed in autumn.
May be attacked by caterpillars and some species are susceptible to mildew.
