Description

Euphorbia helioscopia (Sun spurge). Once used as a treatment for warts from the plant's milky sap, which is poisonous. This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe. STEM: Single, upright, with 5 branches above, sap milky. ROOT: Vertical main root. HAIRS: More or less hairless. STIPULES: Absent LEAF-STALK: Absent BRACTS: Leaf-like, yellowish green. FLOWER STALK: Elongating in fruit. SEPALS: Absent PETALS: Absent STIGMA: 3, often forked. OVARY: 1, 3-celled. SEEDS: 3, brown, rough.

Cultivation
