Description

Fuchsia arborescens. This large erect evergreen shrub from Mexico and Central America. Bears narrow, elliptic, dark green leaves offset by panicles of small, red-purple, tubular flowers in erect clusters in summer.

Interest and use

Grown for their flowers, usually borne from early summer to early autumn. The flowers are very attractive to bees. Suitable for coastal conditions. Attracts humming birds in suitable geographical locations.
