Glaucidium genus. There is only one species in this genus. It is a rhizomatous perennial and has large pink to lilac flowers which are poppy-like. They are fully hardy, and will need a partially shaded, sheltered position with moist, peaty soil. You can propagate by seeds in the autumn.
Is excellent in woodland gardens.
