Description

Glyceria maxima (Reed sweet grass). This is a perennial grass which if given the room will spread well. It can be found on the edges of ponds or near river banks. The stems are about 1m or more tall with flat, arching leaves about 60cm long and 18mm wide. The flowers are produced in branched panicles of green to purplish spikelets which are produced in late summer.
