Description

Hamamelis virginiana (Common witch hazel). This species has an open, upright habit and will grow to a height and spread of 3.5m. It can be adapted to a tree-like form in the early years. The flowers are small fragrant, curled and twisted yellow; they bloom in the autumn among the falling leaves. The dark green broadly oval leaves turn to a bright buttercup yellow in the autumn.
